Hell of the incomparable torment you can never imagine, of the pain that have and will never be on earth since its creation, where the pain of all earth concentrated together can be a tickle compared to a person there in the least section of suffering; OR eternal bliss of Heaven where you are forever living happy and in harmony with the eternal creator of the universe and everything in existence; certainly none would prefer hell over heaven; but what causes a person to go to hell? And how can you escape from Hell and go to heaven??
Jesus Christ is not one of the ways to heaven but the only and only again and only way to Heaven and none goes there except through him (Jn. 14:6), well probably you are wondering “what is that supposed to mean now?”, firstly you can’t understand the salvation humanity receives through Christ unless you admit that you are a sinner, from Adam Men rebelled against God and sinned (Gen. 3:1-6) but God Loved humanity he had made in his own image so deeply, but since he is a righteous God he had to do what is right all the times and exercise his right judgment against the ones he loved whole heartedly since he can’t do what’s wrong; so he banished them from himself but made a plan of redeeming men back to himself again by taking the punishment we deserved and bear it on himself(Christ Jesus)- (Isai. 53:3-12) ; since God is eternal only an eternal substitution for our wrong to punish would satisfy his wrath, that’s why Christ Jesus died on the cross so that whoever believes in him only as savior of his life will live forever in heaven of perfect peace, Joy and happiness;
[Jn. 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life]…NOTHING in heavens, on earth and under earth can ever save you from going to hell except merely receiving Christ Jesus as your savior from eternal hell to eternal heaven; maybe some believed that doing good deeds and obedience will grant them salvation from hell, but the fact is that people who do good but don’t believe in Christ as their savior will end up in hell seriously; that’s the real meaning of the famous phrase you hear pastors use that “receive Jesus as your personal lord and savior” or in my native language “kwakira yesu nk’umukiza wawe” or “kwakira agakiza” its simply believing that lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins so that you won’t go to hell but heaven, doesn’t require you to do anything more to that to be saved from hell but your sincerity and faithfulness from your heart to Jesus; *as simple as that*, sounds too good to be true???, probably, which is the reason we should thank Jesus Christ really from our hearts for bearing our burdens and saving us…….for more verses about the salvation we receive through faith in Christ alone not by works read (eph 2.8-9; rom 1.17; gal 2.21; gal 3.11, hab 2.4; phil 3.9;jn.6.28-29; jn 3.16; Rom 3.21-24;rom 3.28; jn 6.40; jn 4.6; jn 6.47-48; jn 11.25-27;jn 5.13; lk 23.42-43 etc…)
Wouldn’t this make good deeds unnecessary?? Christ saved us and that’s enough; the main aim of our good deeds we do is that we shall be rewarded for them when we reach into heaven(read a book called Revealing heaven by KAT KERR to understand more about the importance of Christian deeds); every single tiny good act you’ve done from childhood was recorded and will surely earn you a reward in heaven, note that eternal Life in heaven is not a reward but a free gift from Christ, and without faith in him your deeds won’t help you any farther…read these verses to understand more about rewards in heaven [1 corint 3.11-15; mat 16.27; rev 20.11-13; luke 6.22-23; mat 10.40-42;mark 12.41-44; mark 10.43-45; 2jn 8; 2corint 5.10; 2Ti. 4:7-8 etc….] yes WHAT WE DO TODAY MATTERS FOREVER.
